Wheatless in Seattle Gluten Free Bakery Reviews
Jalapeno Cheddar Gluten Free Bread
The food items I have tried so far are amazing! and their gluten free! I have not been to the actual store but purchase items from the gluten free market I go to.
The jalapeno cheddar bread is really good. It's soft and has a nice crust. I like toasting my bread, so for me a good crust is a must. The bread is alittle like a cornbread in texture but it's full of flavor and once you put the goods on you don't really notice it and you really taste the jalapenos. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised as most of the other gluten free breads (the ones that I like) were a bit on the hard side.
The last sandwich I made using this bread was a TBLT (turkey bacon, lettuce, tomato). With the bits of jalapeno, good gluten free toasted bread - it was awesome! and my husband liked it too which is a Bonus!
Being a specialty bread you are paying the price compared to a regular loaf of bread from the grocery store, but it's well worth it. Hat's off to the baker. If you live in the area you really should try something (they are listed under Health and Nutrition of our directory), if you don't live in the area check out their website for the stores that sell their goods.
I rate this bread 5 out of 5.
Gluten Free Lemon Bar Review
These are absolutely delicious! They are soft and just like the lemon bars Mom baked. The crust is perfect which; for me, is important with a dessert like this.
In one bite you get all the flavor and texture you wouldn't expect from a product that is not only gluten free but wheat free as well. The lemon flavor really comes through, yum.
I have to say in all honesty, this lemon bar may not be for everyone. It's sweet. When I want a sweet snack that's good for me and smacks flavor; and is amazing, I expect it to be just that - sweet. But - even for me I can only eat half of it at a time.
It is an expensive dessert, and if you don't live in the area but have a gluten free market in your neighborhood, see if they carry the Wheatless in Seattle brand food items. If they don't maybe you can put in a special request as I do at our local gluten free store.
If you like sweet snacks, I don't think you'll be disappointed.
I rate the lemon bar 4 out of 5.
