The woolen mill was started in Amana in 1857 and prospered for many, many years. Although, due to the economy in 1985 we had to down-size.

Our warping and weaving departments remain in operation today and produce quality blankets in wool and cotton. The mill has had a colorful past as it has survived fires, floods and wind storms but our attention to detail and quality has remained faithful.

If you live in the area, come tour the Midwest only remaining operating woolen mill. You will be able to see the looms in action and browse our products and take home a wonderful piece of history.
