Katy and Matthew Bauer opened Sweet Peach Baby Boutique in Bay City, MI with the hopes of filling the popular designer baby niche market.

The shop is located at 105 Fifth in downtown and carries everything from stylish sweaters and organic bedding, to toys made from recycled plastic and booties.

This kind of stuff you can’t find in the big box stores,” Katy Bauer said. Katy prefers products that are all-natural, organic and American-made.

Katy enjoys shopping for her first-born son but found an overwhelming amounts of products for baby girls than what is available for boys. Their son is the inspiration for opening the store.

Customers can pick up items for baby's bedtime, lunch time or bath time, and find clothing in sizes newborn months to 4 Toddler. Bauer also takes orders for Amish-made cribs, cradles and other furniture, and hopes to launch a full-scale baby registry in the coming months.

Sweet Peach is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, and noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
